It was felt that having an 'Open Day' for the breed is very restrictive in terms of location and timing. So I propose to spend the time instead on looking at the possibilities of setting up Regional Clubs. It is important to remember that we are a National Breed, highlighted at the shows throughout the summer, and we need to encourage everyone to push us forwards.

I would be very grateful, therefore, for any ideas and suggestions regarding:

• Areas to be covered
• Frequency and funding of such meetings
• Systems to run Clubs
• Levels of input from Council/Publicity
